Office manager Marloes de Roller is happy at Gelder Logistics
Marloes de Roller (36), office manager at transport broker Gelder Logistics, gets energy from the enthusiastic people around her. And there are plenty of them at the transport broker on the A1 near Voorthuizen! “At Gelder Logistics, I work every day with people who are passionate about their work. Everyone in the company wants to put in a performance every day. That’s cool to see.”
Quick switching at transport broker Gelder Logistics
“The contrast between my work at Gelder Logistics and my previous job is big,” says Marloes. She worked at the head office of a national lingerie chain for 13 years until 2022. “The lines are short at Gelder, which works very well. Quick switching is the norm here. I also like the fact that I can now work comfortably in the office, instead of working from home most of the time. And, well, lingerie or courier services and transport, that’s also quite a difference, haha!”
Transport broker for complete care and purchase advantage
Marloes now works for two companies: Gijs Petersen and Michiel van Maanen started Gelder Logistics in 2021 together with experienced transport planner Sebastian Meckelenkamp. In addition, Gijs and Michiel have been active for many years with their other company, Spyder Couriers and Transport. From their work around courier services, regular and fast transport, small, large and international transport, they came across the growing demand for a transport broker. “From Gelder Logistics, we take care of the entire logistical process for all shipments,” Marloes says enthusiastically. “Connections, customs documentation, contacts with transport companies abroad: The customer is completely taken care of for every transport. Whether road transport is needed or sea freight, air freight, rail transport, or a combination of these. As a transport broker, we have the connections and the knowledge. A big advantage is also that we can bundle transports, which means that the customer benefits from purchase advantage.”
“Fantastic to be involved with Gelder Logistics from the start,” says the Barneveld native. “Setting up systems interests me. I also think it’s great to contribute to this company.” When Marloes sees herself in a few years, she doesn’t have to think long. “I hope I’m in the same place, where we’ve also taken Gelder Logistics to a higher level.”
Work atmosphere within the transport broker team
Marloes likes to read a good book in her free time, but she’s also often found at the hockey club in Barneveld. “I feel at home at MHCB. I enjoy the game on the field. And the fun and the drink afterwards are also part of it!” The colleagues at Gelder Logistics are happy to hear that. Fun is part of a good work atmosphere, and the lunches and team outings are always fun at the transport broker!
